The woman was Ake's wife Sarah, who is 20 years younger than him, and does alot of his post-race interviews, because she understands and speaks English alot better than him.

The initial culprit was Luna Lovegood who drifted out badly into the path of Voguish causing her to drift over into Ake's horse who was drifting in. Their wheels briefly got caught up.

Yea but you can see the 4 have to check itself losing its forward momentum. Ake came down into him and caused it regardless of whether he would have won or not he halted the 4 forward momentum and in a nose decision he had to come down.

How can you be a harness fan and not know who Jess Otten is nowadays?  Aside from the dozen threads the degens here start about her she has done the color on every big race at mostly every track, not just Meadowlands, all summer and fall.

Ake's driving leaves much to be desired. He is most likely the top trot trainer in the USA. The horses are not over raced & Ake has them ready in big spots.

I thought the judges call was right but the man is a horror show in the bike !! Great conditioner though and seems to have a wonderful wife. Behind every great harness trainer is a great woman.
