Stallion information from AI on Legendary Hanover
« on: July 21, 2026, 06:31:41 PM »
Legendary Hanover is a very high-class 2021-bred pacing horse and one of the better recent sons of Huntsville.

Sire: Huntsville, a major son of Somebeachsomewher e
Dam: Lillian Hanover, by Well Said
Record: 1:46.2 (2024)
Career earnings: approximately $1.08 million
Career record: 22 starts, 12 wins, 6 seconds, 2 thirds
Major victories: Meadowlands Pace, Cane Pace, and Empire Breeders Classic
Trainer: Anthony Beaton
Driver: James MacDonald

His 1:46.2 mile is exceptionally fast, placing him among the elite modern pacing horses. His pedigree is particularly attractive for breeding because it combines Huntsville/Somebeachsomewhere blood on top with a Well Said/Western Hanover line on the bottom—a pedigree with a great deal of proven pacing speed and stakes-class production.

AI opinion: Legendary Hanover looks like a legitimate stallion prospect. The main question, as with any young stallion, will be how many quality mares he attracts and whether his first foals show his speed, gait, and athleticism. A 1:46.2 record and over $1 million earned give him a strong commercial foundation, but his eventual value as a sire will depend heavily on the quality of his first crops.

The better questions are:

where will he stand?

location determines stud fee!

if you're a breeder this is a must know !
Horseplop isn’t a popularity contest!!

Since we are looking for a few stallions it seems

Legendary is standing in NJ.

He won the Meadowland Pace in a super fast time...

as well as the Cane Pace.

Looks like he may do very well in the Stallion ranks..

better look this one over.

I suggest you contact Lance.

You both have stallions in common!

Look him up on here!

I wouldn't rely on AI for breeding intel at this point in time as it merely regurgitates and synthesizes information and quotes it finds on the internet from farms, hru, drf etc.  When someone "feeds" true historical breeding data over time which can then be analyzed into hard data and results is when AI will have the "intelligence" it needs to provide valid breeding advice.

I could probably prompt it to tell me that Lance is a good cross for a variety of names ;>>)

Years ago, there was a service called Pedigree Matching, that looked at the breeding as to whether a mare and a stud would be a good match.  Is this still around?  I don't recall it working out well for their "matches".
