When Weaver bought this horse from Harry..., he was a nice horse and winning at Yonkers. I believe they paid around $50k for him. Weaver Buccemi and company earned their investment back in about 6 weeks.
The horse continued for better than a year, racing and winning in tall cotton.
 I don't know what happened but he had a long layoff.  Training back in am sure they were aware he was not long for this game.
So, they did what horsemen have been doing for ever. Get him qualified and drop him in cheap. If he holds up, jam him in cheap. If he doesn't, find him a retirement.
I am sure, Mark Weaver would never enter him in If he thought the poor guy would break down and cause trouble for others.
These guys have raced 20,000  races or more. How many times has this happened? 
Yet, many want to identify these men by the unfortunate tragedy of Hl Revadon.
Ny the way, was the horse saved or put down?

Correct, and yes it's a business. But the other half of that business partnership is also a living being. There's something should factor into any business' goal, and that's ethics. JMHO.

There's no such thing as morals and ethics in the corporate world today.  Look at some real people who are this way--no morals, no ethics, no legal scruples.  We're all asking for too much with this in the horse business yet alone in the real world.

They are pieces of garbage Burke. Weaver bruscemi all of them. Gid forbid they take a horse a put him in their backyard and give them a good retirement. They race til they breakdown and when they breakdown they just buy another one. They don’t care about the lives of horses it’s all about money.  Don’t they have enough money to take all the cripples and give them a good home   I hope there is someone out there that is psychotic and take Burke weaver and bruscemi out !

I understand by asking people in general to uphold ethics is apparently a big ask, but there are certainly people who do it, and those that do not. I - and clearly others - have noted how that outfit chooses to conduct business. It works for them. It wouldn't work for me.

All that said, I am also curious what actually happened to this horse yesterday.
