Meadows race 4 last night..injury
« on: Today at 06:16:09 AM »
FB post from Laurie Stark, Robert Mcneight's mother, says incident second turn r4
Meadows Wed night cost her son two cracked vertebrae tips, tremendous pain, out 2 months anyway.
Apparently, back in the pack along the cones, Ms.Stark says Merriman horse in behind 'bent him (Mcneight) in half' not holding his horse and letting it climb on Mcneight's back....before Merriman horse broke stride.

Mom saying drivers 'pay better attention, need to move their handholds up so you can control your horse'

I dont have replay here in case you locate.

Wishing him the speediest of recoveries.

He has NO talent, nothing like his father (Eddie) or his MOTHER. They both actually had talent in their younger years. She's just an mom upset her kid got hurt. Protect him, tell him to go back to what ever job he had before he wanted to become a driver, again. Hope I don't get some bad JUJU from  Charlene

Does it matter whether he has no talent (as you say). He is out there doing what he wants to do. Is he a ⚠️ danger to others on the track?  If this is true, looks like Aaron is the danger.

Weren’t there a few no talent drivers on the racetrack at Yonkers and Roosevelt in the glory years of racing??

There was an inquiry by the judges and Aaron should have come down. I was shocked they left him up.  Legitimate gripe by mom.

Actually I am going to correct myself. It was Amac who came out in front of Mcneight. I did not notice the action of Merriman

In my opinion what happened was no worse than any average night.  Breaks come on field stacks up. Its an unfortunate injury for the kid but part of racing.  BUT let's talk about the kid doing the exact same thing going into the last turn.  Again its an unfortunate part of racing.  Hopefully he heals up well and fast

And to be honest, that has happened 1000's of times to 100's of drivers and perhaps just like Covid, it was primarily hurtful to those predisposed and/or lacking fitness.

According to CDC data from early in the pandemic, only about 6% of COVID-19 death certificates listed COVID-19 as the sole cause, meaning in 94% of cases, other conditions (such as diabetes, influenza, or heart disease) were present.

Aaron's horse finished last, what do you expect them to do when there is no placing needed.  The inquiry was because they checked to see if AMac caused McNeight's horse to break before the last turn.  Instead it was just NcNeight running up and causing his horse to make contact.
