Joe is a very talented driver. His stats speak for themselves. I would use him over many if not all of the so called top guys, always tries to give his drives a chance. Aggressive, yea, isn’t this horse racing?
Barn does well also. How could he have so many head in his care year after year unless his efforts are paying dividends.
What’s with those that want to see this young man fail so bad?
I don’t get it.  Give him a brake..

There are loads of jealous haters on here that want to see everyone fail.    tmbz1

If we're gong to perpetually be here at a reasonable harness racing soap opera / racing stalemate...Maybe Papa Bongiorno wants to step up to the plate and clear the air is the question we should be asking?  ;D

No chance that will ever happen.  Guy owes people millions and if Joe's operation was really on the up and up, he would want his father nowhere near it!

oh i get it now
since the guy came on a podcast he is absolved of any possible  wrong doing
did mike think he was going to come on and say anything  to incriminate himself
fact is a horse died,  i assume mike will publish the autopsy report and that will or will not clear joe of any wrong doing as much as an autopsy can do that

You think for me now? Right here he was accused of killing the horse named Vandalism. Well, Vandalism raced the same night he reported the death of the three year old he's being accused of killing. And so far nobody has provided proof to substantiate that. Last week he sent me all the information regarding the horse that actually died. You assume? In his words he said he will provide me the necropsy. Don't fucking assume anything about me, I let him speak for himself. What I think is my business. What we know is what can be proven. That goes for everyone. Why don't you come on tonight as yourself and tell everyone how you feel, you're more than welcome.

This death rooting has been going on for years against the Bongiorno’s, the more success the stable has the more the death rooters start chiming in. Joe’s a young guy who knows how to train and drive a horse, he’ll be giving the death rooters agita for a very long time.

And as far as Jennifer is concerned, when she worked there she worked extremely hard.  Entries ,book work ,claims ,schedule’s ,dealing with owners and plenty of other duties. Her brother and the other assistant trainers went the trips with the horses, I don’t know of any rules that system broke.  And Horseplop rules don’t count

He actually can generally drive pretty heads-up in terms of setting up a trip, IMO. But I've said it before and I'll say it again: he contributed to the death of a horse on the track with his incessant, ineffective beating on a done horse. That's not how you drive - or treat - horses.

Watch the really talented (and successful) drivers and report back on who is leaping around in the sulky like a marionette in the stretch.

He may be an excellent horseman, but I find it pretty hard to believe, given the above.

All that said - just because a horse had a pulmonary event and died on the track doesn't mean he had anything to do with that.

you cant think of any rules that were broken when she was an admin assistant but was down as the trainer and never sat behind a horse
therein lies the problem

He has to succeed- 25% of his take is going right to a couple of guys who his dad wronged & ripped off.
Once more $ is recouped, I can see Sr. laying real low. He knows they want $ back right now
Best time of year watch the young horses racing for great money. Nothing better than following the horses, going to wherever their next stake is, with family.

They sent the bookkeeper in to meet Jerr Gural and his regime to reverse the ban for purchasing prohibited banned perfromance enahncers and it worked like a charm.

Love, loyalty, support, and whatever else, for your dad-----I get that. I expect that.

But, if you then ask the public, take your plea public, ask people in and out of the business, to NOT judge you, associate you with your dad, or consider anything your dad did because it has nothing to do with you.....no, sorry, that doesn't work.....not when your dad is in the paddock, at the barn, meets with your owners, and is involved in your business. Whether it's official or not, formal or not, whatever, your dad is working for and/or with you. No, doesn't work for me.
