I'm not here to make friends.. I'm here to have discussions about racing without bashing each other for different opinions. And to take my mind off of my Dad's cancer treatment

Either am I.  But people have actually met and discussed racing in person because of horseplop and many positive things have resulted!

That is a fair point but even if he goes on to win his remaining starts this year and retires which he will and would be dumb not to he still isn't in the top 10
Unless JT stands for Jimmy Takter, you don't know what they are going to do with Karl.

Come on Mike you know they will put him out to stud after the breeders crown. And yeah I wish that's what JT stood for

There is a lot of things that could happen. Everyone thought triple crown winner Marion Marauder was headed to the breeding shed.

That's true but there is just more money to be made going to stud and I don't think he is that sound. In no way could he race on a smaller track. It takes everything Yannick has to keep him together on a mile oval. Time will tell. See this is what a civil conversation can look like lol

Sorry about your dad but if that's what you want you are in the wrong place.  Why don't you try the new site https://talkinghorseracing.com They actually have rules about posting anything controversial.  Too boring for my taste but each to his own.

One loss this year doesn't doesn't destroy his resume. Takter will figure him out. I was there and I can't be sure because I wasn't sitting behind him but I don't think soundness is an issue, I think the horse is interfering somewhere when asked for speed. I could be 100% wrong but that is what I think. I wasn't crazy about the drive but sometimes a horse forces you to drive a certain way. However, as bad as everyone thinks he looked warming up and racing, he trotted the fastest time in his life and I think if he gets straightened out, he will trot in 48 and a piece and end his career as the greatest trotter ever.

How about this one? 73cv.2

I hadn't heard that Karl had retired. Well, I guess I am wrong about him ending his career as the greatest trotter ever.

I don't mind the controversy and as I said in my original post I enjoy the back and forth banter. But it doesn't need to be taken to a level of name calling like an adolescent would do.
