100k tickets cashed over Leo bauer race...triple pools now avg 7k a race. Karma got henri filion as he died young.
Same with Wrenn years ago. He was in the second race on a Friday or Saturday night. They robbed the double pool and tri pool. Over $100,000 score. Or how about the Saturday afternoon at freehold back in the 90s. When Brennan, Morrill Jr, and Howard Parker all went dead in a race. Howard’s driver got caught cashing tickets.

Sam R and Old Guy, you are right on the money. The sixties were right in my wheel house.  Eddie Cobb drove a couple for me. Actually, Cobb had Maida Million for the Ivanhoe Stables in N.Y.  She could win on command. Late sixties, early 70's. Cobb ended up at Hollywood driving for the Nev-Cal stables after being booted from Yonkers-Roosevelt. One night at Hollywood, she was in with the likes of Adios Vic, maybe the greatest closer of the day. I didn't believe it was possible for Vic to lose so I made a good sized bet on Vic, and the real late money came in on Maida.  At the top of the stretch, Vic was second over, with Cobb right behind him. I thought that one was over and it was. Cobb was five wide in the stretch and beat Vic by a length.  Well maybe Cobb scored big, however he had to Maida up for what she was.  That was the end of getting 5-6 to one on Maida Million.   :P

When Cobb won at Yonkers and Roosevelt he won on his own because the rest of the drivers wouldn't work with him. He was a good guy.

Cobb didn't need help. He knew when his horses were the best. As I said he drove a few for me.

Eddie did a great job with Genghis Khan. I think his son or grandson was the groom on that horse.
