Erv Miller
« on: March 19, 2024, 07:52:47 AM »
Erv has one for sale on On Gait today.  Last year he listed a trotter with year old photos that I was stupid enough to buy.  I wish someone would have told me about him.  My purchase will be a total write off.  If you are going to consider an Erv Miller Horse do your due diligence.

I in no way shape or form do I consider him crying but just making potential buyers aware of his experience and that buyers should make sure what they are buying is what is represented. You on the other hand continually defends Miller's operation which is your right but try and be fair for once.

A little off topic but I would never buy anything from Erv or any of his owners.  I bought a mare on on-Gait back in December and paid immediately and picked her up within three days.  Despite many calls with the Amish seller in Indiana, have yet to receive the papers or breeding certificate.  This guy is worse than Greg
Peck !  I am beginning to get a little concerned about on-Gait.

I have never bought one from an auction.

To have a horse that can make money --- is about 1 in 5....    So I don't believe any horse that could make money would voluntarily be put up for sale.... A private buy - YES.... but an auction, No

Horse sales are OPJ -- Other Peoples Junk.

Erv or not, if you buy from anyone, anywhere, online, privately, whatever -- BUYER BEWARE doesn't mean you are open to getting screwed. It means DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE! Any purchase...SEND SOMEONE TO LOOK AT THE HORSE TODAY, WHEN YOU ARE BUYING HIM! Period.

BAD EXCUSE TO COVER UP FOR A POS LIKE ERV MILLER AND WHAT HE DID. SOMEONE NEEDS TO REPORT ONGAIT TO THE FEDS FOR LETTING THIS FRAUD CONTINUE TO SCAM THE GENERAL PUBLIC. BUYER BEWARE MY ASS. ERV IS A THIEF.

THAT DOESNT WORK EITHER. I PAID A VET $350 FOR A THOROUGH EXAMINATION OF A HORSE THAT MY TRAINER LIKED AT THE MEADOWLANDS IN 2001. VET SAID HORSE HAD NO ISSUES AND LOOKED GOOD. TURNED OUT IT WAS THE SAME VET WHO THE TRAINER REGULARLY USED AND HE BLOCKED THE HORSES LEFT ANKLE THE NIGHT BEFORE MY TRAINER AND THAT POS VET FAKE EXAMINED HIM. SO YES EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE A VET EXAMINE THE HORSE, THE SELLER PAYS HIM MORE MONEY AND YOU GET A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH.

The success rate for purchasing horses at auction and being successful is low. If you do your due diligence and find value in the purchase you can succeed.

All of my private purchases involved my trainer going a trip or two and a full vet examination. I’ve been lucky.
