Classic owner's statement from ongait
« on: September 05, 2023, 10:52:06 AM »

I'm rich, I don't need this crap. The horse goes the entire year never making a break then runs two times? No thanks. Y'all can have him.

Obviosity he thinks he's a comedian. His other horse he has for sale he post:I'm a single white male, seeking fast horses and slow women. Unfortunately, I keep getting those two backwards so this one is for sale. Winner of $366,000 so far,. I'm proud to say $162.00 of that total was earned in my barn. Races every week.

It is Greg Luther. He has sold a number of horses using, On Gait. Many have gone on to earn straight away.
A few years back he entered into what he called , The Great Million Dollar Experiment. I am sure he has slipped a few more into the experiment. Hey, its his money. Have a party.

Maybe his book Greg Luther Real Estate sales are slowing down on Amazon with interest rates climbing. So he needs to unload some of his stock.

He drove that horse at the Greenville Fair and it made breaks with him. Hadn’t done that with real drivers! Pissed him off so much (hurt his ego) so he’s shit canning the horse. Will be a great buy for someone!

Brett Miller drove during the 2nd break.

  • MTP1972: Maybe not every combo but enough to almost guarantee they'll hit it especially if an obscure combination comes in. I doubt much of their wagers are on the chalky combinations.

  • Papillon: I struggle making show bets in four horse fields
    Today at 03:29:20 PM
  • Trigger: We better focus like Calhoun said on doing the homework, as of now we couldn't pick a show winner in a 4 horse race.  Then we'll take down a score.
  • Papillon: I don't think they are playing every combo, but they are betting more $ in the carryover races
    Today at 03:25:17 PM
  • Trigger: Flawed, if there is a carryover not every combo is being played.  You can't make money having playing AAAAAA if there 200 winners.  If CAW is winning everything why play, they're surviving off a low % of rebate against win/loss and work with gigantic volume.
  • Papillon: o agree with MTP1972-much more CAW action in the carryovers-not sure how much more than standard-the carryover is a mirage
    Today at 03:12:37 PM
  • MTP1972: I have a different take on carryovers. If you're betting a track who has a good handle like Mohawk the Early Pick 5 pool is around $100,000, maybe $50,000 for the Pick 4 pool. When there's a carryover the CAW's bet thousands into the pool and have every combination covered multiple times. In a smaller pool there's a better chance for a big score because less of their money is in there, same for the Pick 6 in California.

  • Trigger: Thanks Calhoun, GL to you too, big scores ahead!  Check out Mohawk last Sat early p5, $67891.89 .20 payout w/ 3 horses < 3-1 odds, the other 2 races, nw1 and claimers, wow, the perfect storm.
