If you've ever sat behind a horse in a race bike after a close lightning strike you'll understand. Some of these animals are a tad skittish.

"Our fans and our horsemen have come through for us time and again during what’s been a special year for us at The Meadowlands, but tonight was not one of those nights," said track Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Jason Settlemoir. “Our crew got the track back in shape to resume the races in as timely a fashion as possible, but the drivers refused to continue. We were prepared to drag the post times as long as we needed to reach at $3 million in handle. Jeff and I were very disappointed with the drivers decision and it is something we will address with them going forward.”

The rain and lightning here was intense after the 7th race so horses cannot race in that mess and it is pouring now at 11:30pm as well.

"BUT" starts my favorite part.  tmbz1

Shit,  I wish I this knew yesterday and this morning (what happened tonight) DUH LOL, I would of asked Jeff Gural when we had an email exchange which side of the The Emancipation Proclamation he would of been on, for or against.  Give Gural his casino already, probably did 2 / 1 hot dogs for patrons who stayed for simulcast and sportsbook!   ;D

It's their lives that are on the line. Tell the little fuck to put on a rain suit and go out on the track. Like Campbell, Pierce, Cat etc would go out in that mess. What are they gonna do, give the drivers a week off, make them stand in a corner. Power play coming up, need Ronnie to go see Jeff and his minion, before it gets worse. Ronnie has the answers.

"Dragging post times" Wouldn't that affect the later Lasix horses?

The minion had no choice, he knew he was going to get an ass chewing from his idol. He ordered that to be put across the screen and for it to be announced. Maybe his idol cut him some slack because he "called out' the drivers. They screwed up his 3 million dollar "dream' now he doesn't have that to talk about.

How dare Mother Nature interfere with their 3 million dollar night! If in fact the general manager of 3 standardbred racetracks, (all Gural owned), does know with delay comes issue with the health and well being of Lasix horses, then they is an indictment of his fitness to run three racetracks.  If in fact he knows the delay issue with lasix horses and the 3 million dollar night was more important to them than the safety and we’ll being of all involved, horses and humans, then there are not enough words to describe how disgusting they are.
Then again these sate the people that gave us Andrew “Shades” Dansky! Buffoons! I rest my case!
