this is what absolutely drive me and dozens of peeps and friends i know at the big M FUCKING  nuts!  BEEN A REGULAR AT BIG M FOR 30 YRS. OWNED many horses (about 30) in past. all that aside. Ill tell you what that idiot does wrong. the 2nd floor was a staple for couples to relax around the bar  in decent seating and atmosphere.  what this guy did was ignore these regulars. 2nd floor was always packed. could not walk.lines to bet. good biz for track. then he decided to become a temple. this guy just at his discretion rents out not only the victory bar for mitzvah's but also the fucking entire 2nd floor for this bull shit. WTF? its a fuckin racetrack. so by doing this he slowly pissed off and lost the loyal patrons (couples) who frequented the 2nd floor. so without notice he would stick EVERYONE ON THE FIRST FLOOR. PACKED. i know people im describing and its sickening. now throw in he also closed victory. with no notice.ive seen these people with looks of disgust crammed onto the main floor . and ive also seen them leave for good. now add that even when he just rents out victory for jewish causes only and these peeps im describing try to sit,relax and have a good time like in the past around the 2nd floor bar. THEY ARE LAMBASTED WITH VICTORYS DJS BEYOND BELIEF. WHO THE FUCK  COULD RELAX AND HANDICAP IN A BLASTING MUSIC ATMOSPHERE?
 YOU CANT FKN HEAR YOURSELF WHEN THIS BS IS GOING ON. throw this in. he advertised and sent out flyers 2 years in a row for all to come to the ncaa tourny in victory. it plainly said $2 beers the entire tourny starting opening thursday. check your emails for proof. yet both times opening thurs it was closed because he booked an event during the day. unreal. in fact on final four nights or forgive me if wrong the week before he booked a jewish event. the workers were dumbfounded and no idea what was going on. it gets better. ncaa games werent available because as i said victory was closed. but at the main bar. a manager named john put the games on. yet patrons were told by the bartender no fuckin way.this is a racetrack. no games.only racing.so peeps were told to come catch the tourny at the big m. specials .$2 beers. etc. only to get fkd in the ass.
and lastly add this dipship senator melendez who has a fkn party every year for his specials which also closes the second floor for racing patrons. they are assholes running a racetrack like this. my opinion.there has to be much hidden cash that he doesnt have to record going on for him to do this bs. its a track. not his fkn temple

I don't get this. You disparage a man for utilizing an underperforming property in a manner that generates cash to continue the entire operation. The Meadowlands has obligations to not only harness racing but, to the contract vendors, vendors that are also shareholders. Should these vendors be satisfied with an empty house or do they have the right to do business as they see fit?
 Bottom line, if the vendors fail so does The Meadowlands.

2nd that fuckin track is rockin these days. idont give a shit what anyone says. im there and the place is packed. its been a long time since ive seen 50K IN THE WIN POOL BUT NOW IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. now days theres 9 races on a fri and pools at 2 mil!!!!
its sick.they r kickin ass.dont be fooled. last race pools are around 455k !!!! the  place is crowded but dont forget he owns otbs that are packed and take away from the live crowd. he even eliminated t shirt toss. lmfao

Big m was packed all weekend. there is nothing wrong with a dj playing. cant handicap?? lol  stop its not a church. grow the fuk up.  and the second floor is open DURING EVENTS Just the right side closed . no one has to go to bottom level.  and as far as victory I cant answer to that. I don't go in there. It can be rented out for any event for anyone . Its an venue with a racetrack.

I'll chime in on this topic.  Friday night went to the big M as I had a friend have a horse race that night.  The minute my girlfriend and I go inside they tried to steer us to stay on the first floor, as they were having some function upstairs.  I told them i was having dinner at Trotters, and they let us upstairs.  Most of that night we were inside the restaurant, or for some races going outside to sit in the stands (mostly empty of course).  To be frank, and it's hard to substantiate what I'm about to say, there is still an eliminate of "buzz" being at the Big M watching live races, regardless of the caliber of horses.  I still feel a little juice being there, certainly when comparing to watching live races at Yonkers, which CLEARLY is void of doing anything for the disappearing harness patron.  Yonkers, regardless of there high purses and supposed quality racing (pun), has been a virtual morgue for racing for a very very long time now, and certainly didn't help it's cause when it closed the trackside restaurant a few years ago.  A fucken pit through and through, although the casino bathrooms are some of the nicest I've ever been in (lol).  All said, there is no "adrenaline" comparison between the two.  Gural or otherwise, shitty horses or otherwise, the Big M still blows up Yonkers for the live experience.

Did the "OLD" real BIG M have all these BS parties and ME TOO functions. Get real Jeeeefffiiieeee talks about KNEW CUSTOMERS, I GUARANTEE THIS is DRIVING the "OLD CUSTOMER" who used to BET AWAY. Told GOOOOOFFFRRRRAAAA ALLLLLL INC years ago, better keep the OLD FAN BASE, ain't happening and the ON TRACK handle clearly shows this. If Fri and Sat is race knight, then Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs and Sun is bar mitzvah knight
