Over saturation. Too many tracks, not enough people betting on harness horses.

too many tracks. solid point.

and i believe the 'not enough people betting' has to do with the older generation on the way out and the younger generation have better priorities. sports betting/casinos/etc

too much going on in the world today other than follow harness racing.

so,, guess it doesnt matter,, handles will never be like once upon a time

therefore,, stop cryin about it

I think for the most part the 'cryin' about the handle is due to the sport being welfare vs. betting...but both matter.

The industry has ruined the sport and turned its back on the customer. The only solution is to end the handouts.

so handle wont work,, yet welfare peeps bitch about

mights well just turn out the lights

then no more 'cryin', move on to sumethin else

i have a friend that trains for himself. only has 3 horses. if he gets 2 wins a year its a good year. this is at saratoga. he buys cheap, sells cheaper. he got a 3rd place check last week. so without the welfare he has no chance of continuing. yet i read kenny saying 'the only solution is to end the handouts'. for the huge operations i can understand. but the little guy would be gone. need the little guy to fill cards and races. and after all i just said, handle/welfare can only go so far. close the doors
