Agreed - was shocked at how few leavers there were especially given how chaotic the stakes races have been to the half the last few weeks. Quarter in 26.3 and half in 54 just isn’t that crazy right now given how well the front end is holding up. You have to do a Capt Optimisitic suicide mission these days to bring the backfield in playAlso thought the same thing about Sweet Lovin Lou but he did end up getting home in 26:2 so not really walking. Zeron had him in a great spot both on the NA Final and here but the horse seemed to flatten out in both. In both cases he raced better in the elim - may just be a horse that needs an every other week schedule
its a weak group, went in 148.1fyi, lou dipa went in 148 lets be honest the big m track was like I 95 this week so big last 1/4yes sweet lovin lou did 26.2 but on that night it was in the lower range of what pacers were coming home in
Loua Dipa went almost a full second faster to the half. Brandon Blvd was good, but he made an easy lead in moderate fractions and barely held on. One step past the wire Al Papi and Gentleman's Club both passed him.
