What a terrible card!  Look at the purse money and the class of horses.  And you should get sub 56 first half miles too.  A shame these horses will get used this hard for this $$$$.

87 octane gas is 3.90/gallon now down here.

gas was about 4.50/gallon in Vernon new york when I was there over this past weekend.

With the classes written up to race here, is Ohio breeding too many horses and is this the end result ?  Is Northfield the same way?

Short answer yes
The slot welfare money has definitely increased breeding
But in Ohio all 4 tracks.. 2 are always open.. have full fields and full cards every race day
This is a Tuesday night as well, probably the worst horses on the grounds
County fair season will be in full swing soon.
Some of those purses can be quite lucrative now, with tons of races
There were 20 qualifiers at Scioto Monday and some at Delaware the last few days as well

Are trainers actually sending horses out who are ready?

Or are they bleeding the owners by giving them false dreams and hopes??

I had one that didn't make it years ago, and my trainer threw up the white flag in April.
