I'm making my money the hard way. I'm not some loser relying on the government for a handout.

If you are making money from racing, you are making money from government handouts. Where do you think the purse money is coming from?

Who pays for stakes races?

I believe the owners and breeders do this.

The title of the thread is "harness racing". Where is the purse money coming from?  Also more handouts are diverted to that track to fool people like you!

From the money they make from overnight races which is mainly handouts. The whole industry is a house of cards depended on government handouts.

What would happen to the industry if the purses of the overnight races were cut by 85%?

What would happen to the country if Social Security, unemployment, disability, food stamps, and government grants were cut by 85%?
