Winner circle picture of open winner shows no one in the grandstand . I looked at the results, and the betting was EXTREMELY WEAK. How do they stay open?

The old Georgetown Raceway used to run on weekends before they closed. Dover used to run on weekends too but haven't for a long time.

They used to have a bus from Wilmington to Georgetown Raceway. I remember one snowy Saturday night the bus was delayed because of the weather, and they held up post time for the 1st race 30 minutes until we got there. Must have been 30 people on the bus

I remember going to Georgetown Raceway too. One Saturday night a horse named Brown Smoke won the race by over 20 lengths but got disqualified. A guy whose horse ran second had already thrown away his $10 win ticket during the inquiry and I picked it up. When the winner was DQ'd the guy was looking all over the place for his ticket, but I already had cashed it for $115.
