War sucks. I hate it. The military bombardment of Iran has accomplished many interesting aspects within the first 24 hours.
1) The reapproachment that Iran had with it's most hated enemy (besides the US and Israel) Saudi Arabia has now ended. They are now on board 100% with the US since their territory was bombed by Iran. We will have to see if President trump and his staff can now pull off his biggest feat ever.....bringing the Saudis and Israel to a "Abraham Acords" type of agreement.
2) While the world is "split" as CNN reports on the what occurred today, you can bet most of the world is silently applauding. The 5 oil rich gulf states who have had over 100 of it's citizens injured, now know that the biggest bully in the region must be degraded as much as possible. If regime change is possible, it must first be defeated decisively.
3) There is little doubt that Iranian firepower is no match for the combined efforts of both Israel and the United States. Control of the air space will be achieved within days, and Iran will be at the mercy of both countries.
4) The fact that no American or Israeli military forces were hurt in this attack is amazing. And while Iran's evil proxies might try to join this war, there is little chance they can survive the power that would pound them.
Finally, I am saddened by todays events. I hate war. It's a horrible event. Innocents will be killed. It's part of war, but I do not have to like it. Iran, who had so many chances to allow inspectors to check their facilities as well as renounce it's desire to make Nukes and destroy Israel no longer has that option. Their leaders dead, their economy in shambles, and their ambitions to control the middle east are coming to an end. The days ahead will be interesting as the world hopes for a new government without the hardliners who brought this all upon themselves.
