Right by the housing development across form the shopping center. Hazel Dukes ran it into the ground. Hazel Dukes’ tenure as president of the New York City Off-Track Betting (OTB) (1990–1994) is frequently cited by critics as a period of significant mismanagement that contributed to the corporation's eventual decline. While the OTB did not officially close until 2010, her leadership became a major political liability for Mayor David Dinkins and a symbol of municipal ineptitude.  Traffic every day on the Belt Parkway now is a nightmare!

wiz.....right across from Bayview Houses. I lived about 20 blocks away on E. 87 Street. That OTB was always crowded and had a lot of regulars. I was sad when they closed the last one. I think there are a couple of OTB's in upstate NY.

I'll have to see for myself in October when I attend NY Comiccon at this Javits Center. I've gone to 15 conventions since it's first one in 2006. Great times!
