May have changed but I thought it was to be held on a track with 2 turns or no more than 2 turns.
Wouldn’t it interesting if Gural didn’t get the Hambo and wrote a $500,000 race for 3 year old trotters that have not had a positive test or been trained by someone who has had a positive, appealed or not, in the past year or two?    Of course it would be held within 2 days of the Hambo.

Hoosier Park is 2 turns and has cornfields on the backside of the  track, it will be more like DuQuoin than the Mlands ever was.

Meadowlands is a fckin dump
Dirty

Hoosierpark very clean
Spotless

Steakhouse and all other restaurants clean

Trsck paddocks. Spotless

East coast has become kinda disgusting every where  nowadays
What??? When were you at the Meadowlands last and claim it is a dump?  RIDICULOUS statement and you cannot be taken seriously.  Ever been inside their TROTTERS or PINK restaurants? DIRTY? Where? Hoosier spotless?    .

Based on recent visitor reviews, opinions on the cleanliness of Harrah's Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Anderson, Indiana, are mixed, with several complaints focusing on smoke, outdated areas, and maintenance, while others report it as clean.
Key Findings Regarding Cleanliness & Facility Condition:
Smoke Levels: Multiple reviewers have described the casino as very smoky, with some indicating it feels "vile" and that smoke permeates from the casino side to other areas, such as the gift shop.
Maintenance & Upkeep: Some guests have described the facility as "drab, dirty, and all around depressing". Others mentioned that, despite claims of machines being wiped down, they found dirty ashtrays everywhere.
Contrasting Reports: While some find it dirty, other visitors have described the casino as clean, particularly noting that drink stations are generally clean and well-supplied.
Facility Age: Some feedback suggests the facility feels "outdated" and "poorly laid out".

I haven’t seen Hoosier yet, but if lucpark has a big race there, maybe I’ll go and see for myself. I haven’t seen the meadowlands in a few years so I hope to give an unbiased opinion if I get to do this.

FYI, when was Hoosier park built and/or improvements added??

I've been to more than 70 race tracks.

I've had 1 great meal.

A Strip Steak at Woodlands in Kansas City the month it opened.

Better idea is to stop at Denny's before the track and order

So Hoosier Park called the Mlands bluff and now they are putting in a bid to host the Hambletonian in 2027. Time to take the Hambo back to the cornfields.

The Hambo doesn't draw like it use to. If they get 15k there for the race that is successful. The Meadowlands pace used to be a big draw even when raced on Friday or Saturday night. I don't think they get 5k for the race and that is with food trucks. Do you think if it is moved to Hoosier will they draw more or less.

I think if they do get it there will be many people that will go that didn't want to or were unable to travel to the east coast. The mid west is deep in harness racing fans and followers. If Hoosier does get it then we can play "Pick The ON Track attendance #'s!
