« on: August 16, 2025, 02:07:49 AM »
Very nice racing weather forecasted for the SPA, a bit overcast, mediocre humidity, low to mid 80's temperature, FAST & FIRM surfaces expected.

A couple of big stakes at the SPA - the Skidmore and Alabama (GI).

At Woodbine, a big stakes day, the EP Taylor (GI), Kings Plate.

At Monmouth the Iselin stakes (GIII), Del Mar Oaks (GI).

That's the t-bred story  ngc3 Now the harness story.

A major Poconos Downs day starting at 230pm with 14 stakes ---Kawartha Downs has stakes --- Sciota  - Mohawk Sucker Track two opens, Brue's running there --- Red Shores, ATLANTIC LOTTERY GOLD CUP & SAUCER Final - may the best garbage pail win in PEI.

I'm looking at 22 races, budget is a G.  Good Luck!   ;D

I'll put this here.

I'm not there today (wish I was) but Deauville has a good card today.

I'm betting the 5th race .. 9:50am.

#2 Caulificar .. short price but looks solid.

my picks at Saratoga have been terrible...but here is a try with my goose shit....

race 10-Alabama Stakes--obvious exacta box Nitrogen/La Cara 4/6

Good Cheer is a solid bet against--typical early season 3yo filly who was far ahead of her opponents earlier in her career-and to me they have caught up and surpassed her..

good luck to everyone today tmbz1

Arcaugnes yes. Then Mandella after the BC. Arazi was Francis Boutin. I remember Arazi's BC Juvenile very well. He passed 12 horses in about 20 seconds. Biggest move I ever saw.

i recall the Arazi move-.

https://youtu.be/mYIQttbYOOs?si=LuDoNr8HfltMDL1r--the race starts around the 3:38 mark

it was the 2yo Breeders Cup Juvenile at Churchill

that move sucked me in to betting him in the Kentucky Derby--he was horrible

With my starting bankroll of $5000 for this summer now down to $4789, my bankroll will be $500 today.

I am focusing on a few races today. My big bet will be in the Alabama on #1 Margie's Intention. I expect Irad at a price and will be betting $50Win and $150Place in this small field.

Taking a shot with Horacio De Paz's Palace Boss (#1) in the 8th at that Spa, I'm not a big fan of jockey Luis R. Rivera, Jr. who I consider light years behind the top 20 at the Spa. But I think the inside post will be a big help, and the horse might get a nice trip at a price. Betting $20Win $40Place here.

One of the trainers i've actually made money with is Antonio Sano. I hit a big number early in this meet with a bomb trained by this sharp guy. Today he's got II Sciiliano with Lius Saez up in the 5th at the Spa. I expect Saez will get this horse close and make the one run in the lane. If he makes the lead early and gets soft fractions, he'll be tough.
$20Win $20Place on #5 in the 5th at the Spa.

That's $300 of my stake already "sent in". I'll fool around with the other $200 as we go.

Good luck to all you "plungers" today!!!!! Let's get 'em!!!!!

I handicapped Scioto today. A rarity for me. Many of the races look mismatched, another word for easy. Enjoy your night.
