in 1991--Miss Easy tried the boys in The M1 Pace

she raced against Precious Bunny in her elim, got crushed ....and was never as dominant after that

Chantilly would not have made the final against the boys, she has never gone that fast

Twin B should be racing against the boys, but I do not see her staked into the male ffa Big M events later, I guess they could supplement? The FFA division for males appears in a transition this year. You have some very good 4 yos like Nijinksy, Luke, Albano...some great horses who do their best work on smaller tracks like Mossdale, Ken, Desperate...then you have returning horses who are showing signs of perhaps slipping like Ruthless, Abucketabett, and Bythemisssal. Then there a bunch of competive horses who with the right trips could be factors like Maximus, Oakwood,  Voukefalas, Seven Colors, Stefanos...and then the wildcard Brue Hanover who i dont think is staked to much. Likely a year where we never see ALL the good ones together until the Breeders Crown as they focus on the tracks they can win at. Twin B can definitely race with the top horses at the Meadowlands so hope we see it at least on Hambo Day.

for the aged trotters...R Melina, Michelle, Elista, Datenight, Drawn Impression are all back so its a decent group with Dial Square coming out of nowwhere

I do agree the aged mare pacing divisions has falled out. Besides Twin B, EJ, Slyvia, Aardie, there is not much. Where is Its a Love Thing..she was supposed to comeback.

Twin B is an absolute monster but she is benefiting from how watered down the mare side has become on both the trot and pace due to breeding.  It has gotten too lucrative and all the good ones are gettting put in the shed early.  Look at the trotting side - there is nothing - I’m surprised they haven’t brought Allegiant back to pick up some easy crumbs.

Chantilly would have to get a trip against the boys but in the big races there just aren’t any breaks and she is used to getting a lot.
What does this have to do with Chantilly?  You switched to 4 year olds

FYI in Europe they have many more races for 4yr olds. She will be back stateside late this year or next year when it makes sense.

This thread was mainly about Chantilly and whether or not she could beat the boys, so just for comparison's sake, Twin B Joe Fresh was mentioned as possibly taking on males sometime this year. As much as people go off topic on other threads, I see no problem straying a bit as long as it's about racing as opposed to a lot of the other BS that goes on here daily.

Going back to last year before the Breeder's Crown, Ryder was asked about possibly running in the Open Pace for older horses he said not this year but wouldn't rule it out in the future. With so few races for Aged mares, if she is totally dominate again, I can see him taking a shot somewhere.

Maybe towards the end of the year. I’d like to see her give it a go.   tmbz1

There's a huge difference in a race where Chantilly gets to male the fractions she wants because no one will challenge her early as opposed to lining up against the boys where she's gonna have to fight for position. Let her get past Miki n Minnie 1st

She has gone faster that many of the horses in the NA Cup elimination and she has never had to go faster.

I'm not big on comparing horses abilities based on times, it's like in the old days when some horses used to have time trials to establish a lifetime mark. I think the competition they're facing is much more important. Chantilly has been very impressive but has yet to really be tested, and all her wins have come in Canada. That's not to take anything away from her. You measure a horse's real class when they're facing open company on a regular basis. It's obvious, maybe not to you, that this year's crop of 3-year-old colts is much stronger as a group than the 3-year-old fillies. Can Chantilly compete with them, who knows, but chances are we'll never find out.

And most of the other like Louprint for example of only been competing in sire stakes.

True, but the PA Sires Stakes for 3-year-old colts is much more competitive than the OSS for 3-year-old fillies. Lou Print did win the Breeder's Crown for 2-year-olds last year against open company.  I'm not sure Lou Print is even the best 3-year-old colt, it's much too early in the season to make a judgement.  Btw, it's nice to have someone actually talk civilly about horses and races rather than the other stuff that gets beaten to death on here every day.

I think she would’ve definitely been smoked by the boys.

Some of the stupidest comments I’ve ever seen on a thread in my life right here   . Mikkie and Minnie will break her in half if she shows up like she did Saturday nite  .
