Why do you want interest rates to drop?  Interest rates are at a reasonable level.  There’s plenty of people that need the interest earned in their savings accounts, money market accounts, and CDs that need a reasonable interest rate to pay for all the increases coming for food, supplies, perishables, etc.

I think he wants to lower the Fed fund rate in which businesses borrowed from the big banks. I see your point and I tend to agree when it comes to savings. CD's T-bills and money markets. It all depends on what the 10 year treasury does but I agree Powell has got to go the same goes for Janet Yellen.
