$37T in debt? The big, beautiful bill is a crock of shot that will add a minimum of $4T more to that debt! We'll see what happens in the Senate. You can make SSA much more solvent by raising the cap at which wealthier participants stop paying in. Also, these undocumented folks you all hate on pay into SS and can NEVER collect 1 penny, so long as they don't become citizens (and only afterwards).

In the BBB there's a provision to raise that cap and make social security solvent until 2054.

Now, isn’t it much more productive to present facts (from both sides) than accusing people of TDS or saying there is no disease called TDS?

Dingus.....you have a point. To follow up on some of the great points in the BBB.....
1) On taxes, it raises the standard deduction and increase the child tax credit.
2) Provides a tax cut for small business owners through lower individual tax cuts.
3) Includes new work requirements for childless adults with no disabilities to qualify for Medicaid.
4) Funds President Trump's border wall and increase personal at the Border Patrol and ICE.
5) Includes new incentives for rural and agricultural investments.
6) Expanding low income housing tax credits.
7) No taxes on tip and overtime.
8) A new $4000 "Senior Tax Deduction" for seniors making less than $75,000 a year.
9) Eliminates tax credits for electric vehicles within 2 years.
10) Pell Grants reforms.

Just to mention a few. It's not a perfect bill. But I think Americans will like it's results. Time will tell.

Adds 4 Trillion to deficit. It’s causing interest rates to go up already.  It gives far more money to wealthy people than the poor. It cuts food stamps and rural hospital funding and will make millions uninsured. It is a big ugly bill.

Oh look another uneducated author, who had so many misspellings I could barely make heads or tales of what you were trying to say. The fact is, Congress controls the purse of The United States, and Congress authorized 4 trillion dollars for Covid relief in President Trumps first term. There were 10 million illegal border crossings during Joe Bidens Presidency, only a idiot would believe they are picking fruit. we are not talking about asylum seekers here!

So Captain Grammar, the 'genius' who critiques others, lets look at your butchering of the correct use of spelling and punctuation:

1) In your first sentence, the pause should be after the word "look" instead of after the word "author".
2) In sentence 2 the comma after the word "is" is unnecessary.
3) In sentence 2 "Trumps" should be "Trump's" as it shows possession.
4) In sentence 3 "Bidens" should be "Biden's" as it also shows possession.
5) In sentence 3 "only a idiot" should be ", and only an idiot".
6) In sentence 3 "we" should be capitalized as it starts a new sentence.

The point is you could just refute the facts, not be an uneducated know it all.

I thought the right-wing was supposed to cut the deficit!   ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 Looks like dougie doesn't understand this important concept.  He only sees what he likes, not the actual cost of these things and its $ 4 trillion more to the deficit, but he's ok with this!

Not only did they not cut the deficit they destroyed thousands of Federal workers lives, Doge only saved a 150 Billion dollars and they are giving the wealthy a huge tax cut!  They give the poor a few bones, say they get a thousand dollars but it's all eaten up by higher prices due to tariffs!  All while adding 4 trillion to the deficit.

Per dougie-'Like I said, it's far from perfect. But I support all the points I stated in the previous post'.

Translation, that means things can be changed for the better and more beneficial to all but won't be done because of the people controlling this effort!

Federal workers or federal mooches?

A serious and entertaining question--

How many of the federal workers (mooches) were actually Trump supporters?

This idea that federal workers do nothing is stupid.

Do you have any clue how many have been WFH since Covid and have another full time job to go with their federal government position.
