EV and battery development has been shoved down American, Canadian and European's throats by government and the minute Trump told them we wouldn't be providing them with massive grants and tax breaks, they are all delaying future projects.
That tells me the technology can't financially stand on its own merits.
Why did we put so much tax money into these industries without a cost/benefit justification plan?

I truly hope you're not saying that Elon is losing his spot at the government trough and is losing billions in subsidies for EV? That would be news. Of course, all his other projects like Starlink and SpaceX are costing US taxpayers billions.
