Or maybe he should join the band 'LOVERBOY' Kenny. After all , it's their song. 11.wp

I know you love Brett Beckwith and he's doing well. Yes, he has 60 wins from 339 starts for a win % of 17.7%
Jason Bartlett has 49 wins from 168 starts, which is half the # of starts Beckwith has for a win % of 29.2%

I dont think anyone is claiming that today at age 22 Beckwith is better than Bartlett only that he is ON PACE to far surpass him.

I am by no mean diminishing his accomplishments, just feel some people are getting ahead of themselves.

Hard to be ahead of themselves when the record shows he's the best 22 yr old ever......

I'm not diminishing what he's done so far, but some people are comparing him to Dexter Dunn and other Hall of Famers which is going way overboard. Give the kid time to grow and see where he is in 5 years. I try not to get caught up in all the hype with him and some pro athletes who come up and make a great impression right off the bat.

Not that many drivers are given the opportunities he's had at such a young age. His family being in the business has really helped. I fear all of this hype will go to his head as it does most youngsters that taste success. I hope he is the exception.

Scooteroo I agree with you. The kid is a good driver, but time will tell. The horses he drove in the 12 and13 races at the Meadowlands Saturday night were so fired up anyone could have won with them. Today it's the best chemist that win races today.

Right now he says and does all the right things, but having that kind of money at his age can get you in with the wrong crowd.

Yes, that can happen hope it doesn't. There are a lot of drivers you could ask about that. I won't name but they know who they are. you seem to know a lot about the business.

Look at all the pro athletes that made hundreds of millions of dollars and are flat broke now because they spent wildly and didn't save their money or get any financial advice. Money attracts freeloaders and leeches.

You act like it can't happen. He's away from home alot and on the road,, things happen no matter how good his support group is. If you choose to believe he's squeaky clean and can do no wrong be my guest.

You’re telling us that now you have Eddie Sager, Jeff Cullipher and Bill Mackenzie firing up horses at the swamp !!!  Please are you on crack dude . We ain’t talking Engblom here . The kid won the last 3 Saturday night on trainers who are well known as honest long time horseman out East except I’m sure Jeff is shaky . But he isn’t even in New Jersey
