Montishithole Raceway
« on: March 17, 2025, 07:41:24 AM »
I spoke to Eric Warner on Thursday. He told me it's under control and "they're out there working on it". There are some people I do feel bad for up there because he's telling everyone the same thing. This is the present state of harness racing, hope you people start waking up and realizing that. As for Gaagoots/King Haku, maybe you should have mommy claim some better horses so you can actually get a start in.  ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

USTA is saying cancelled today.
Nobody is answering the phone this morning. They must be out looking for new jobs.

No material, no machinery and no clue. If they were trying to fill in low spots that never works. Tear it up, grade and reshape it.

Just a thought.....until they get the track fixed - they should use Yonkers during the daytime and call it "Monti at Midday"..... ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

Race at Goshen. It’s much closer. I’m sure Ray Shitkicker won’t mind.

Now we’re are thinking , NYRA does it with their Belmont at Aqueduct. I think either track can handle the Monticello crowd, however Jonkers has a better tote board. Monticello at Jonkers makes sense

What's the timeframe? Legit, not the BS rumor and innuendo. The logistics wouldn't be easy. Shipping from Monticello to YR, every race day, every race, every horse? I am sure the first question will be, who is going to pay? LOL. Aside from the logistics, personally, I think the small-minded management of both tracks could pull this off anyway.

First of all, NYS Gaming has to approve it. Secondly, these people can't afford to walk from their barn to the paddock at MR, who's going to pay for the trip to Yonkers? You think the track that couldn't care less if they race would entertain this? The actual issue is the track. They have no material. Nothing even close to what is necessary to correctly rebuild "not repair" the track they have. Ownership is only concerned with who gets a license in NYC, after that nothing good is going to happen. The backstretch at Monticello is absolutely disgusting. The grandstand is closed. They weren't even answering the phones at the race office this morning. And like Trump told Zelensky, the horsemen have no cards in their hand. Where are Faraldo and Schwartz in all this??? You know the horsemen's association who are there to protect and represent them? It's pushing a month and the truth is no those people cannot absorb this.

Everyone needs to take a deep breath on this .......my "suggestion" of taking the "Monti show" on the road was a joke people!!! Just an attempt at a little Monday morning humor people.
Actually, not having Monti open has saved me some cash........I haven't had to try to figure out which Merton boy isn't stiffing his horse - in weeks!!!!   73cv.2

At this point Monti has canceled long enough for them to redo the entire track. But I would bet, not much has been done to the track surface.

If they're only patching and that rain hit it last night it's a mess again. Knowing and time are the only way to regrade a track and it set.

I was just asking if there has been any reported timeframe on racing starting again. Legit reporting, not BS. LOL.

Are you serious? Well last week Eric Warner told me it was under control and they're out there working on it. How'd that work out? My God you have issues. I read your post from earlier where you are making statements and at the same time saying you didn't know and weren't there. So you're posting BS? Like I said long ago, if someone doesn't whole heartedly agree with you, you short circuit. Jeeeze.
