Truly a great horseman; a multiple O'Brien Award winner, Breeders Crown winner, and a member of Canada's Hall of Fame. Never left "home" but he and his horses certainly had an impact on the sport; and the impact he personally had on people was with people both on and off the track. Most horsemen said that Keith would have been a top trainer and driver anywhere he went. I was fortunate enough to meet him in the late 80's. I eventually counted him as a friend. He was a great resource for horses in Western Canada and I'd take his opinion before anyone else. I once asked him about driving outside his home turf and he said something like, "I do very good back home, win a good amount of races, sure, I can drive...pretty good for a fat guy."

I spoke to him when he sold his training center, bought the new farm, and started enjoying semi-retirement. He was enjoying life. He deserved it.

He would have done great in the O.S.S over the years.

Top notch conditioner, did it his own way & he excelled.

Never heard a bad word about him either

 r.i.p Mr Clark
We don't need to race, we do it for the love of horses & because we can. Great game if you have the means.
*3 y.o colt & filly have been top3 in their sire stake
*The 2 y.o's have shown a ton of talent & 1 just missed a sire stake win

Very few horsemen that retire stay involved as they know that owning horses is a bad investment but HE WAS DIFFERENT and gave many trainers horses and stayed involved as an owner and to me this was great to see someone that had love for the industry that gave him a good life,,,,,,RIP,,,,

Yes, he did. Just one of his stellar performers over a long and storied career.
