Great article on Harness Racing Update about the judges at Batavia screwing over Drew Monti, and how they go about trying to cover it up. This is a must read for horse players!

He should have taken a stand against Jim Mango when I posted the email Jim Mango sent out about hm. That was a clear case of work place harassment & I would have be happy to come forward to verify the Mai had he went the legal route. As for the judges decision, I just watched the replay. If Drew would have stayed in the 3 path thru the turn and not dropped to the rail then no violation, but he did not. Rule states that the lead horse can chose any lane in the stretch’s, backside & front side, but lead horse must keep in that lane when going into the turns, he can drop back to the rail as long as he does not cause confusion with any of the trailing horse, which he did. Drew look like a P driver with that move.

Batavia judges let early leaders go 31 second 2nd quarters to turn race into a boat race.
I’m also convinced the race office favors certain owners and trainers in the post draw, and/or give poor draws to other owners/trainers.
As an example, I raced 2 of my horses there 24 times this Fall, and never drew the rail even once.

Batavia is sooo corrupt it’s disgusting. Sam smith wins trainer of the meet pretty much every year. But you should when you are using drugs in the horses. Every year, meet after meet he gets positives. The man weighs 450 lbs ,there is no way he’s taking care of their legs and feet, he can’t even bend over to tie his shoes. He needs to use drugs to keep the horses going. His owner , torcello has track management in his back pocket some how, probably paying some of the track management off. Torcello is some what of a lawyer and sees no problem cheating with the drugs. Although there are quite a few drug using scumbags, rice, petrelli, clouser, Nappo, Dave McNeight jr, Steve kiblin. Tammy Cummings, Lisa mariacher. I know I’ve named quite a few but it’s true, they are all known for getting positives every meet and management basically does nothing.

What about the Tetrick DQ? It was race 7 Saturday at the Meadowlands. From the angles they showed I couldn't tell. The winner Cellmate drifted in Tetrick's path so he ducked back to the inside. Good call or not?

Just watched the replay and head on a few times. Bartlett's horse did originally drift out first, so Tetrick went inside of him, but Tyler Miller's horse had already established the position along the pylons and when Tetrick's horse came over he forced Miller's horse off the course and inside of 2 pylons. In this case the judges made the right call.

In the end, it’s the bettor who gets screwed.
Ultimately it has cost tracks as pools at these places are nonexistent.
Few years back I stopped betting Yonkers. I had a pick4 (which I would have hit) in which Brett Hollands horse went to front in 27.4, 57.2. He won race easy and race was not becoming official. Inquiry sign followed 5 minutes later and all it showed was 2 horses sitting 7th and 8th taking bad steps. They later DQ’d winner. For anyone that bet or does bet Yonkers, every single race is nearly the same- fast opening 1/4, slower 1/2, fast 3/4 as horse sitting 3rd, 4th tries to brush to lead on backstretch. So how they arbitrarily decided on that night to take a horse down for something that happens 10-12 was ridiculous and I never bet the track again.
So reading these various stories of corruption don’t shock me at all.

on the batavia race the more relevant question is what was the guy on the 3 horse doing pulling out of the pocket just after the #1 that got dq had cleared him
