BREEDERS CROWN ELIMS SAT
« on: October 19, 2024, 03:00:52 PM »
Betting on elims is tough.best horse doesnt always win as the number 1 priority is to make the final.Having said that here are a couple i like tonight
RACE 2 #1sig sauer  has post edge and should be well spotted use 3&7 behind
RACE 4 this is a very good race out 457 i will take whoever is longest odds
RACE 6 in what will probaably be shortest ex of the night i will take the #4 mirage hanover over #1 nijinsky
RACE 7 #3 warrawee michelle is the choice.ake wont get hung tonight. #8 & #9 behind
RACE 9 #1 vic zelinsky. has been exceptional at redmile.should be good odds with highland and karl in race will use 458 behind
RACE 11 everyone will be betting #10 twin b.if it was final i would bet her but dex wont gut her.#4 silvia hanover is the bet.she put it all together in last and has post edge

Twin B Joe Fresh is #1 in the standings for horse of the year so Dunn does not want lose ANY race and might push her more than if she was not in the running.

Holy hell almighty. How has no one with a brain gotten ahold of this Dunkin horse in 3 years of racing? This thing has double the starts of everything in his elim, at only 4 years of age. Plenty of money made, didn't make the final but dug in in the stretch.

What kind of person does that to a horse of his caliber?

Oh.The guy who puts 30+ starts on a 2yo who made them $100k.

Karl will make the final because Highland Kismet broke and that is the only reason

Karl is devaluing himself with every race. Sad really, I was one of the ones who though he could be one of the greatest but I changed my mind 4 or 5 starts ago

Same. I was really high on this horse coming into his 3yo year and he is just not that good anymore. I'm sure he's not right and it doesn't seem like a talent problem but he is struggling. And unless he rebounds, he's lowering his value, as you state.

I wonder if he even races next week.

What's happening at the Meadowlands tonight?  Karl off the board at 2/5 and bombs away and Andy Miller winning a big race (for a change) with ruthless hanover and only at 2/1?

  • Trigger: Very good analysis Calhoun, moreso from my perspective that Albin Jimenez was suspended and the #2 ride was really suspicious and overooked.  Is it possible that there is action equal to far greater outside mutual pools worldwide?

  • Calhoun: That tri pool was $4500. Net of takeout $3300.  Out of 60 possible outcomes, the result was  5th most likely out of 60 (using win odds to calc). Paid 14 to 1. Doesn't seem awful. It also would have been bet pretty good by the genpop. Maybe rigged for the 3 to win but the tri? I think not too likely.

  • Trigger: The race that everyone is talking about where Jimenez #1 stiffs his horse to finish behind the #3 his gf, but no one mentions the #2 (Lebron) and how he stiffed to be behind Jimenez.  To set up the 312 tri watch the stretch. [link]
