Trainer Change
« on: May 02, 2024, 06:33:06 AM »

First time Per Enbloom and Izzy Estrada at the BigM and Yonkers have been a tremendous
angle. They seem to be able to lift a horse, sometimes as much as three seconds. Off the
claim or just a fresh barn change, it does not matter.

How much does a trainer of that magnitude alter the way you handicap the race?

Depends on trainer. First time per A decent odds you’d be a fool not to be.

Out East that Izzy guy in a class by himself. Reminds us of Marks years ago. The Meds have no clue how to stop him either.

100%.  I have noticed that a lot of the Weaver purchases (who wind up in the Burke stable) come from trainers with low UTR and/or were driven by "stone hands."

The man is an exceptionally sharp trader. It is one of their greatest edges.
