Does it surprise you? Whenever a track opens with solid purses, he's there. It truly is amazing. He's not getting any younger and getting help has to be tough. Now he has numerous stables set up across the country, It looks like he uses locals when he doesn't have the ability to build a stable with added staff. The bigger question is when does he slow down? I guess never.

It's a business. Period. Business decision. They are going to race wherever it is economically feasible --- and profitable --- to do so, and if the business model works for them, they'll race there. I don't expect them to apply for 20 stalls and race at Monticello any time soon, LOL, but show me a track where they can get stalls or rent a nearby training center, with a good purse structure, late closers, sire stakes, whatever -- and it wouldn't surprise me if they race there.

This type of thing will usually be a precursor for "THE BLAME GAME" b ehind closed doors. Some of the employees are probably getting the "side eye " from the inner core of the operation. Questions have already begun due to the tension in the barn. You can bet your bottom dollar that there already is an internal short list of probable contaminates! If things don't get handled properly, the bus just might go off the cliff!  11.wp

Nothing changes, everybody thinks this is the start of the demise of the Brigade. AGAIN !!!! Believe me if anyone believes that they're stupid. Nobody knows shit, cause it's not happening. It won't be over till Ronnie walks away, he's the only one that can't be replaced.

Nobody knows shit because Micky learned his lessons years ago before he listed Ron as trainer. The vet does the prerace and has as much too lose as Burke. If something needs to be given by an assistant trainer or groom it is in a bottle labeled Banamine.

What Asst Trainer or Groom? None have come forward. Ronnie was running the barn when Sr was still listed as trainer. They started getting hot when Ronnie got really interested. Sr. loved it, he could be involved and really loved the publicity. It was never a big stable, never had a ton of help, but the help were loyal and worked their asses off. None of the Burke's are stupid but Ronnie is the brains behind the entire show. Rags to riches story.

So, you own and train your horse and you get a positive as trainer but that doesn't affect you as owner?
