The 4th race at Pocono’s was unreal . So much going on don’t know where to start. Pelling say no go or Schadel begging to get beat. Watching the stretch drive reminded me of
 the movie Easy Money with the foot brake . Watch how he is pulling with the left hand to stiff while looking back begging to get beat.

 He had them measured... Lol. What A joke he lost the race.  Why measure anything? He was grabbing the left line so not to get noticed and waiting to get beat but Pelling at 1/9 decided to sit until past the 3/4 pole .  Also, he never pulled the plugs and never even raised the whip until right at the wire when he felt it was safe .  The only thing to measure was his wallet

 Sorry didn't actually see the results posted , looked like he held. So I still stand by what I said, except he 'DID' get a little too cute.
 He thought he was home.

Why would he measure a sure win?  The horse still has a decent amount of money to make in the class and he had no intent to win today. He left hard with the hope Pelling would 1/4 move at 1/9 and he allow him second place money while staying in the class.  Why teach a young horse a 31 second last 1/4 is good and lets wait for the other horses? Total stiff job it is what it is.

 Just go all you have to go to win is why. He just misjudged it and got picked off.
 I would think if you were lining your pocket , winning at the long odds would do that
 better than running with a 1/9 shot.

I guess you're talking about the 4th race on 3/19/24.   I'm guessing this was a nonwinners race so that might explain Schadels desire to get beat and stay in the same class.  1/9 never moved until it was too late. The curious drive for me was the winner, who allowed his horse to gap 5 or 6 lengths in the pocket the whole way to back up the rest of the field, only to run down the leader in the stretch.  Who said harness racing was honest?
