Handle Saturday night with all new drivers.....
« on: December 17, 2023, 07:22:30 AM »
Even with the batch of new drivers at the Meadowlands Saturday night, and with the main drivers away for the holidays, the handle still did almost $3.1 million.  The new young guns are trying to make their mark there now and the betting public seems to like what they are seeing!

It's mostly caw money. Algo's don't care who is driving the horse

this is accurate

over half the handle is heavily rebated by Gural who caters to CAWs

but it gives the dopes something to talk about

Best new face and play of the night was in the 14th.  First time Irish Horse and First time in USA for the Irish driver who used to play professional Rugby, so you know he's a tough dude. Was bet early and drifted up to almost 4 to 1

The very late money continues to hammer certain chalk. They missed in the 14th. Article today seems to think it's multiple caw accounts landing on same high percentage types. Idk. Gursl should say something as individual gamblers are in a tough spot

Sometimes a little homework can make a difference, especially on the drivers side of the equation!

I don’t understand the issue with the CAW wagering. It is all probability based. Handicappers that use form, appearance and driver tendency should be able to beat it and cash at a price when the time is right

the CAW money comes in after all the other money is in, so they see the final odds that the dumb, unrebated money doesnt

also--do you receive a 10-15% rebate?...they do

the table is tilted before the race starts
