He was mighty down under.  By the time he got here he was lame, never fully recovered from his injury there.

There has  been a few overly hyped horses coming from down under

Auckland Reactor was supposedly a super horse and was beaten by Lou Pena's properly named horse named
Real Joke at Chester

San Simeon around 1980 was also talked of being great. He came here and his first start @ M1 he was 1-9 vs regular Open types and was beaten soundly

it happens

again here with Lazarus

IMO, his offspring are like him, they get better with age and haven't cut it as 2yolds. Most trainers don't have the time to show much patience.

If I recall, They raced him sick (jimmy did) when he got here, he was not at his best

Christian Cullen stood for a $ 10000 stud fee in Pennsylvania circa 2010.  Was this a better value??

Ernie Martinez did a good bull shitting job on this horse as a stallion.  Im sure he still filled his pockets.

Yeah but don't forget the big money spent on the stallion was the good folks at Taylor Made, in Lexington.  The were significant ownership interest. They see guys like Martinez coming a mile away. I think there was to have been some desirable outcross possibilities but American breeding program is breed as close to together as possible and hope for freaks.
