I was thinking the same, it's an EPM treatment, right?

It is a fucked up system that penalizes a person for treating a parasite that is attacking the horse.  What has this world come to?

The system is screwed up. She can first get notified on 7/3/23 and drag it out until a hearing in November. So gets 90 days suspended and loses 3 weeks of racing under her name. Why not 90 days of when Plainridge races? Well worth dragging it out for months!!

I hear you, Bill, but Levamisole should not be administered to horses about to compete because of its ability to metabolise to two central nervous system stimulants, aminorex and pemoline.
Better to use Toltrazuril or Diclazuril.

Plainridge is so corupt. Absurd that she get a positive continue racing and drag it out til the end of the season then put maddog down and continue as always
Depends who u r at the ridge
Betwith gets away with whatever cuz he trains managements horses and treats they’re others u see that barn all of a sudden having wins when they couldn’t finish the race few starts back

This thread is just another example why harness racing will wind up as ashes on someone’s mantel.

Why would anyone worm a horse a day or two from racing ??  Unless.

Horses having worms cause weight loss and lack of energy. Worming is a regular part of horse maintenance.

FYI, quite a few trainers got the same ‘positive’ 10+ years ago. See Toscano et al. They changed the withdrawal times as to how long it should be before yo race. FYI, if the track so desires, they can make you ‘persona non grata’ if they so choose as it is a ‘major offense’.

I’m well aware of that.  But few , if anyone worm a horse to worm it , within 2 days of race.  Most know sheep wormer will pick a horse up.
