A Race Secretary puts his job on the line to collect on Bartlett wins that rarely pay a lot of $$? I know there are some rotten eggs out there but risk your family’s well being to occasionally collect a win bet? The RS would need to be pretty stupid or sick IMO.

Last night I was in the paddock and a heard a few Drivers and trainers talking about 9 races a night and how a lot of trainers are sending there horses to other tracks to race because the race sec is doing a bad job ! They say if you try to talk to him he about things he will throw you out and all he does are favors for the Brothers ( Owners) that hang around the paddock ( don’t no who they are ) and also for his friends only . Racing really went to crap last two years . I’m a small owner but I feel bad for all the guys that have to deal with this on a regular basis .

I HEARD HE DOES CALL BRENNAN AND BARTLETT RIGHT AFTER THE DRAW TO TELL THEM IF THEY ARENT DOWN ON ANY HORSES OR IF THE BEST HORSE HAS THE INDIDE TO CALL THE OWNERS AND ASK TO DRIVE THERE HORSE IN THE RACE. BARTLETT IN TURN GIVES HIM MONEY FOR HELPING HIM LIKE THAT. HE ISNT FIXING THE DRAW OR RACE. HES JUST HELPING OUT BARTLETT GET THE EARLY JUMP ON THE OTHER DRIVERS

Used to work for Burke--and guess what? See how many 8 holes Burke gets--I checked--in the entire month of September he got 1 -8 hole outside post but 10 rails! Please explain that.
Also if there are 15 nominations for a race--Burke and other favs--will magically draw in.

I guess this crap probably goes on at other tracks--which is one major reason why racing is gurgling down the shitter-because owners are bailing out-thanks to race secretaries' shenanigans.

I GUESS IF YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT, MOST OF THE RACE SECRETARIES COULD PROBABLY BE INDICTED FOR RACE FIXING. THEY JUST GICE FRIENDS THE RAIL, LET THEM PUT A HORSE THAT LAYS OVER THE REST IN A RIDICULOS CLASS AND WORSE YET IS THIS GOOF AT HOOSIER SCOTT PEINE. THIS GUY HAS CLAIMING RULES THAT ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD AND NEVER SEEN AT OTHER TRACKS. IF YOU CLAIM A HORSE AT HOOSIER, YOU CANNOT LOWER OR RAISE UP ANY MORE THAN TWO CLASSES. HOW FUCKING STUPID IS THAT? ITS ACTUALLY TAMPERING WITH A PERSON BUSINESS BECAUSE IF I SPEND MY MONEY AND WANT TO CLAIM ONE HOW IN THE HELL CAN THIS ASSHOLE TELL ME WHERE TO PUT MY HORSE IN? Ya. I no trainers that call that assistant sec and he fills out the claims for them and signs it FACT . Just horrible. He also tells he’s pet trainers when their horses are being claimed FACT !! All the truth

Did they "prove" 'all the shenanigans' at Yonkers 'beyond a reasonable doubt'?  Asking for a friend!

FYI, I raced my mare 90+ times at Pompano in the mid 2000's and never saw the rail once.  Just the luck of the draw and/or 'shit happens'!

All due respect rainman---I watched that movie--he was a mathematical wizard. So you of all people should know that if you start a horse 90 times and never draw the rail-those odds would be highly unlikely-due to the "Law of large numbers" a cornerstone of mathematics. Now not saying its impossible--but  a reasonable person would deduct that "shenanigans" in the race office would be almost a certainty .eg In Roulette you may rarely see 10-15 blacks or reds come up in a row--but spin that wheel 1000 times and the numbers even out close to 50-50.
Cory Stratton drawing the rail 5 times in a row at Yonkers recently-those odds are about 50000/1--again not impossible but certainly raises eyebrows. Same goes for many many questionable draws done in "secret", the claims done behind closed doors.owners knowing before the draw that they would win the claim etc etc. Like Law and Order posted--if the FBI investigated---race fixing penalties are nothing minor and quite a few officials would be out of a job.
