All due respect rainman---I watched that movie--he was a mathematical wizard. So you of all people should know that if you start a horse 90 times and never draw the rail-those odds would be highly unlikely-due to the "Law of large numbers" a cornerstone of mathematics. Now not saying its impossible--but  a reasonable person would deduct that "shenanigans" in the race office would be almost a certainty .eg In Roulette you may rarely see 10-15 blacks or reds come up in a row--but spin that wheel 1000 times and the numbers even out close to 50-50.
Cory Stratton drawing the rail 5 times in a row at Yonkers recently-those odds are about 50000/1--again not impossible but certainly raises eyebrows. Same goes for many many questionable draws done in "secret", the claims done behind closed doors.owners knowing before the draw that they would win the claim etc etc. Like Law and Order posted--if the FBI investigated---race fixing penalties are nothing minor and quite a few officials would be out of a job.

The draws are all done by computer these days. Only way to fix the draw is classify the race as handicap. The computer puts a time stamp on when race is drawn so. It like he can just keep redraw the race till he gets what he wants.

Where there a will there is a way-and computers can be fixed so there is an algorithm/hack for certain trainers to draw better posts--easy fix-any competent computer programmer can see to that. Where is this computer-??-and who is in charge of it--if its on the internet-it can be hacked. Ask republicans if they believe Computers can be rigged LOL. How do you think all those slot machines at Casinos work and social media sites ? OR who actually checks the computer draw? No One checks the claim draw--no one checks which horses were picked in the entries to race--all done by the race secretaries.. Call me crazy--I don't care--but when I see these anomalies in the draws--I question them because after listening to old timers telling me how corrupt the officials have been over the years and what people can do with computers these days--my antennae are up.

There is a simple solution to the race draws by the secretaries.  Have them ALL done with cameras and with the round marbles, for the public to watch online and that will solve the problem.  Too many times the SAME trainers draw inside and the SAME ones draw outside. They make it look somewhat legit with the occasional inside draw for the small trainers.  Closed circuit online camera draws should be MANDATORY at ALL racetracks.

Where there is a will.....there is a relative! Money corrupts and harness racing has to clean up the draws and have more consequential suspensions.

Anybody remember a guy named Michael Signore? Saratoga legend who was Steve Starr's assistant many moons ago.
I do remember Michael Signore.  What about that little fucking worm and stall superintendent, Ray Goodness? I saw Lou Meittinis literally lift that twerp off the ground by his collar.

Back in the day they did live draws with a pill bottle. Any horseman could come and watch if worried. They wouldn’t bother to walk upstairs at balmoral but sat in the paddock crying this same story

Years ago there was a small downstate Illinois trainer (jack James) that had a decent 3yr old trotting filly. Drew the 10 in every stakes race. For Super Night he drove 3 hours to Balmoral to watch the draw. They let him pull the pills for the race. He pulled the 10 for his filly. Was a long drive home

Bond you are so right the stuff that goes on in that office is so illegal ( signing people’s names on claims seating races to benefit individuals. Letting people no there horses are being claimed so they can send them . But this is why I’ve been told by a great source that they have all been turned in and someone in the office is going to turn on them to save their own neck ! The investigation is on and it’s going to be very ugly . But needs to happen

Venting--I pray your info is correct because the current situation is not sustainable.
Can you imagine for example-the Powerball lottery just announcing the numbers? --No live TV-Nada. Be shut down faster than a speeding bullet. Its broadcast all across America. If you tried the stunt the Judges pull by having claims selected behind closed doors at the Tbreds--eg Belmont-there would be 50 horsemen banging on the race office doors. Would cost a few hundred dollars to set up a camera in the race office--get a barrel with 8 numbers spinning fast=then doing the draw that everyone could see. Increases interest, integrity and viewers-owners trainers grooms can all watch it on their phones tablets and make immediate plans etc.
Im told the Idea was quashed by USTA(Head Faraldo)--not sure why--except he was a client of Banca-who is now in Federal Prison-and Faraldo is banned by Gooral from racing at Meadowlands.?-makes you wonder why anyone would be against it.
Im told that a few years back the presiding Judge was helping Banca with entries/draws got sacked very discreetly disappeared like a ship into the night. So there is History--and perhaps History has a nasty habit of repeating itself at Yonkers-where the draw is the No 1 advantage for making money.
