But why just the racetracks?

Because the sport was done and only thing that could keep it afloat(Welfare) But all it's done is bring in more cheats, druggers and sleazy owners. The people it meant to help just got pushed out!..Its had plenty of time to rebuild itself(with casino revenue) and now it's time to stand on its own!

I hope that you didn't sell the house or loot the kids college funds to investigate these brilliant findings! The contacts between the casinos and tracks are much deeper than chicken scratch on a napkin. Even with diminished purses racing will take place. The biggest loosers if this was to happen would be the "Factory Farms" due to the fact that those people who patronize them would not be able to cover the costs involved. Even the best crooks can't make any money when the Exotic pools are a grand or two! It would cost more than the pool to arrange the outcome. There will always be racing because there will always be horses. The people that make a living racing are like Camealions,they always adapt to the environment! Horsemen don't drive new vehicles because they have to, they do it because they can afford to.

That would be wonderful because they can bet against each and have the money change each other hands every other day. They ain’t getting any money from the fans or gamblers. Most of them are dead or long gone platting a casino game where they have a legit chance of getting lucky.

It was done at the racetrack because there was already gambling going on there. The toughest part of getting expanded gambling bills to pass was most people didn’t want gambling in their backyard. It wasn’t as hard to convince them of it was going in somewhere that already had gambling
