Honestly to start a thread which has a reasonable premise and then to repeat stuff that was posted earlier that has nothing to do with the topic he started is unacceptable whoever this guy is.

Half mile for me - least fave 5/8ths.

i was weaned going to Liberty Bell/Brandywine--so i still love the 5/8ths

my college years were spent at freehold just after it burned down-they had the huge yellow tents as they rebuilt-so since then the i loved the half mile-the betting after the bell ruined that for me-i was a lineup bettor

also late 70s and early 80s i would watch WOR channel 9 Stan Bergstein and Spencer Ross--sometimes  former Jets player John Dockery--all of those saturday nights watching racing from Roosevelt and Yonkers were fabulous
