It SHOULD go back to a cool million.  FOX SPORTS 1 tv channel devoted 2 hours to the Meadowlands Pace tonight which must have helped the handle.  It was exclusively covering ONLY 5 races from the Meadowlands.

You sure can!  The owners can 'pay more to play' for this privilege!

Mikala, wire to wire on the outside; lots of extra ground and was still rolling over them in the stretch.  Granted, she had cover, but still took the longest way possible.

Confederate came his own last half in 51:3 or 51:4.  That is a LAST half.  Amazing.

When woodbine cancelled the rest of card after the 4th race that helped the handle big time.

I remember mikla first start at big m. Drennan brought george over for one drive from yonkers. I posted somewhere on here horse must be special. Brennan hadnt been back at big m for quite a while before then. Won then for @2x1.

Tetrick and dave miller outshined yannick.

Good question.

He really sucks. Out of position in almost every race (except for Mambacita and Christchurch).

BIG MONEY: Wagering on the 14-race program was vigorous from start to finish, and when all the monies were tallied, a total of $5,672,535 was pushed through the windows, the biggest number on Pace Night in 17 years, when wagering was just over $6 million in 2006.

Since 2009, only twice has betting busted the $5-million Pace Night barrier, the other being 2020, when $5,051,261 was put in play. The $5.6 million wagered Saturday night, an industry 2023 best, represents a 20-percent increase over a year ago, when $4,733,390 in action was taken.

That was a THE MAIN REASON why the big jump in handle. When Mohawk cancelled it easily added over $1 million to the Meadowlands handle.

great news with the big bump in handle but unfortunately on site attendance was probably the lowest I have ever seen for Pace Night..a damn shame but they have no employees and no promotion anymore at the joint. Least buzzworthy crowd ever

my biggest complaint about the track is they cannot even fix the loudspeaker, you can barely hear the call of the race outside, been like that for years

oh and there apparently was a big fight at the track toward the end of the night, one group had been verbally sparring after the Meadowlands pace on the apron to the right of the winners circle and apparently something bloody went down about an hour later. Security nowhere in sight anymore at the joint that could have diffused this situation much earlier

The PACE race handle looked nice for WPS alone:
