Everyone in the Hochstetler barn KNOWS that we do not give any horse anything other than feed 48 hours before the race. Jay always said if you inject a horse with water within 48 hours of the race that it is an automatic scratch and fine/suspension. I think that is the rule but I’ll ask homer Tuesday when Ponda Jet wins another! Lol But you cannot administer anything into a horse on race day or automatic scratch. Doesn’t matter if it was an accident or not. They should have never allowed this horse to race. It’s a very bad mistake and this will never happen in the Hochstetler barn. PS- keep your eyes peeled on our little 2 year old Ponda Title and of course, the best 3 year old undefeated Trotter in the world Ponda Jet. It will be a 4th of July to remember ! Go Jay Hocky- you got this.
So much jealousy over Burke on this site. Get a life already. Honest mistake by the track. Move on
First off you can’t put a horse on lasix the day its in to go. You scoped her after the race a get her on for her next start. But how are you going to scope her the same day before the race and add lasixs. If that was the case , which it absolutely wasn’t she would be scratched sick if she was standing in the stall bleeding. One poster said that if the horse doesn’t bleed lasixs wont matter,That’s incorrect from a pharmacology standpoint. Lasixs works on the Loop of Henle, it will lower the blood pressure of a horse wether they are a bleeder or not. Lower blood pressure means less cardiac resistance. She did go a track record lifetime 48 flat mile. Mcseaside was put on Lasixs 3-31-23.How are you running a 20 million a year operation, and every time a mic is put in front of you , you tell everyone how great , smart , your system training, feed is the greatest, so on and so forth but you can’t hire competent people to get lasix to a horse on it and not the ones who are not.If you give lasix to a horse that’s not on lasix and get tested you get disqualified. You also can get DQ if your horse is on lasix and test to high a level.
That is not what happened. You are misrepresenting the facts. It was "first start Lasix" after bleeding the previous start.
OPEN HANDED CAUGHT THROWING THE RULES RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW! FRIDAY NIGHT THEY HAD THE NADIA LOBELL STAKES FOR $115K. BURKE PUT 2 IN AGAINST A COUPLE DECENT FILLIES. ONLY 1 OF THE BURKE FILLIES WAS ON LASIX.BOTH GOT LASIX BY MISTAKE...YET BOTH WERE ALLOWED TO RACE!OF COURSE BOTH HIT THE BOARD RUNNING 1ST AND 3RD. WTF?HOW IS THE FILLY NOT PREVIOUSLY NOTON THE LIST STILL ALLOWED IN?BURKE AND JERRY SILVA DEFINITELY GOT SPECIAL TREATMENT. FROM WHO? RICK MOORE AT HOOSIER?ERV'S OWNERS ARE STEAMED! PELLING'S OWNER IS SUPER PISSED SINCE THEY RAN 2ND. BOTH HAVE RETAINED LAWYERS TO SEE WHO SCREWED THE POOCH!
GSAC Erv Miller and his owners clearly have standing and the rules regarding Lasix + safeguarding the betting public were seriously violated. Learn the game laddie. I hope Burke gets in a head-on car crash and tastes his own blood in his big fat mouth!
Jerry Silva was a dirt bag before he changed his name to Jerry Silva. Used to be a porn peddler, before he became a "legit" businessman...
