Why is a hot trainer a cheat but hot driver is just plain good
« on: January 26, 2023, 05:09:06 PM »
I'd like to know why trainers who win races are always deemed a "cheater" but a driver who wins alot of races is because of talent???

Right. And presumably the driver isn't the one prepping the horse for the race..but they aren't stupid. They certainly know what's going on.

And not all hot trainers are cheats.  Some have good runs for whatever reason.  Racing luck, down in classe, good draws, etc...  But you are more than a hot trainer if you put up ridiculous numbers for extended periods.

I agree I always thought it was odd Andy would even show up at Freehold.  But when you are going to win half the races it makes sense.  I'm sure no driver has ever been questioned about that type of thing.  Most were big favs, why wouldn't he fire them to the lead?

when they are odds on race after race they are obviously getting sent down the road.  Nick would race two horses a race against nobody of course he was going to dominate.   has anyone noticed last couple years since Surick has been gone Andy doesnt drive much anywhere anymore
