How are the horsemen surviving? I see a few racing at other tracks but months of no income can't last forever

I was thinking that many of them were collecting unemployment plus the $600 per week extra that was being given until July , some were making more $$ than when they were racing ..

In saying they are "ready to rock' that really means they are ready to continue to bleed cash just as they have from day one. A hopeless venture, in a hopeless, poverty sticken area of NY. Zero chance to survive moving forward.

True dat, Resorts saved money by being closed
I am not Jerry Clark and I have no affiliation with in front racing

I agree the casino would love to dump racing but isn’t there a contract that was signed between empire and the horseman ? No casino unless there is racing ? Or do you think their attitude is sue us for violating the agreement ..

You definitely have a contract. I'm sure it runs out soon and I don't know what happens after that. The racetrack will probably just look like the rest of 17B. This isn't Roosevelt Raceway land but with the mass exodus from New York City, it might be good for a development of town houses.

THE GAMING COMMISSION HAS APPROVED THOSE DIVIDERS?
IT WAS MY UNDERSTANDING THOSE MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION REQUIRED GAMING COMMISSION APPROVAL.

WHEN DID THE COMMISSION MEET?

Just a side note to your above comment regarding the land.. My buddy is a realtor in Monticello fir many years.. He told me that the pandemic has been the best thing fir Monticello real estate in the last 40 years.. Everything that comes on the market especially if by the lakes are selling at basically full asking prices immediately .. All the city dwellers looking for that country escape
