Oh yeah they are fit all right.  Just shouldn't be bringing them to Ohio just because we are the only show in town right now.  Should have put a condition that no horses are allowed that haven't raced in Ohio the past year.

Merriman is having a rough night. Can't find a hole, horses seem short

I haven't looked up past handle but looks like they are doing at least double their usual handle.  Probably averaged 30-40k per race in the past.

TVG picked up the signal part way through race 6.  Will be interesting to see if that affects the handle.

Race 7

#8, I know another Burke horse - but watching the Q's on the 16th --- this horse was the most impressive.

The 2 pulled and was chasing, yes against the winner of the Mare Open Rosemary Rose, but she pulled out of the hole and spun her wheels going a third quarter in 29.2  -- Driver change will make a difference.

Suffice to say not going to get any decent payoff unless you can pick someone to beat Burke.  Always that way but even more so tonight.  Burke/Page combo is almost unbeatable at this stage.

That was not a bad price --- my best bet of the night --- thought I would have gotten a better price on the one in the second race...

Mr Burke would like to thank Ohio for the pockets of money ……. Purses GOOD ? depends when you go behind the gate and you're racing for second monies....

Race 8

#4 Another Burke horse - and another that Page asked no trot out of just sitting in the bike in the Q

#7 made an easy move to be pass a tired one and was a gapped second to the Burke horse.

#1 Peggy Sue --- SNeaky --- Galliers really did nothing to let her trot in the Q

It was a ok price.  8 hole, now winner of last 4 albeit against better at Northfield.  Would have thought a little more than even money.

I get you on the even money price --- but is Burke and after the start he has had and in my opinion, this was the best looking horse that Qualified on the 16th..... Better than the Open Mare that afternoon.
