To find myself agreeing w/ a Frank*furter is scary! 
These furloughed govt. workers will be made whole when the shutdown ends.  NOW - their pay will be restored despite the fact that they weren't working.  Maybe during the lounging time, these folks could've been shoveling snow, selling surplus junk on EBay and any other resourceful ways to supplement and then - shazam, get a big old check for not doin' a damned thing.

That leaves only 790,000 federal employees not getting paid.

1 Month Pay = 790,000 x$ 5,500/mo (ave month pay fed worker) =

That's $4.5 Billion taken out of the economy for a full month.

Even that asshole King of Bankruptcy Wilbur Ross said GDP could be flat for Q1.
