How many women trainers actually sit behind a horse ?

I know there are a lot of legitimate women trainers and some drivers and I have great respect for them.But over the last few years seems like everyone's wife girlfriend or daughter now has a trainers license.Just wondering.

if you dont sit behind some sometimes, youre not a trainer, youre a barn manager, at best. you cant be a "trainer" man or woman, without actually training your own horses. seems logical.

look at it this way: would you consider the guy who works air traffic control to be a legit pilot? i dont think so. same concept. theres  no way to truly know whats going on with your horses physically/mentally, etc, without at least jogging them yourself here and there to note any changes or differences, or to make changes to rigging to adjust to what your horse may be doing that week.

There have been a few " Horsewomen of the year" that don't sit behind their horses. Technically they're grooms. The women that actually do train their horses , hang them up , know where the horse is off and what to do for them get no accalades .

Very few of them could go an even mile and tell you where a horse is off. They are down as a beard for their husband or boyfriend.
