average $1100 a month, $50 paddocks, blacksmith $150, vet varies alot $200, alot more when there are issues, tack supplies $50, so $1500 to 1600 a month. Top trainers are almost double that. Dont need a "top" name trainer, but dont want an idiot either. Anyone who is paying more than 3K a month better demand results weekly, of course that probably means lots of "special vitamins"

Daily rate is not an issue, even at $100 @ day totals $3000. it's all the add-ons that kill you.
When the tracks shut down the backstretch is when things started getting out of hand.
You easily pay an additional $15,000. a year now in shipping and stall rent.
You will find that your trainer and vet will spend all your earnings in very little time.

JUST BEND OVER AND TAKE IT. 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp

I have no idea who would pay these big numbers. I have a training bill from 2 years ago and the day rate was $40, maybe if it's gone up $5. I was stabled at Tioga for free. If you want to make money, there are some decent trainers there.

There is no correct answer. It depends on the purses you race for, transportation etc. I know at Pompano, the average daily rate is around $50/day, plus stall rent, plus blacksmith, plus paddock fee, plus Vet bill. Probably $2400/month. Im Sure the bills are higher if you race in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Listen buddy if u want my honest opinion from a guy that’s not trying to be a smartass comedian that trains horses this is what i think is very important is what kinda horse is it and where are u racing meaning what’s the purse structure u can’t charge a owner $60 a day for a 4 claimer but most trainers are getting anywhere from $50 a day up to $60 a day than u will have stall rent /blacksmith/vet/shipping/ so it adds up that’s y a good trainer that wants to keep u in the barn will tell u when a horse isn’t good enuf to pay his bill get rid of his ass
