SPORTS CREEK RACEWAY TO REOPEN

We are pleased to announce that Amwest and AmRace & Sports, LLC have signed and entered into an agreement in principle to purchase the Sports Creek Race Track facility. It is expected that the closing on the property will be scheduled soon, possible before November 1.

The MGCB has received the necessary information needed and we are awaiting their decision on the order.

Additionally, AmRace we should have a completed contract between AmRace and the Michigan HBPA in the next two weeks.

The immediate goal of AmRace & Sports is to begin simulcasting on January 1, 2019. Then, track conversion will begin, pending weather. Not knowing the role the weather will have on the conversion and barn improvements, the tentative race dates applied for will be thirty days of racing between May 31 and Labor Day. The proposed schedule is Friday and Saturday evenings with a 6:30 post time.

It should be noted that this entire deal has been put together in less than sixty days. Hundreds of hours have gone into this effort and working with Dan, Nelson Rob and the staffs of Amwest Kentucky and Amwest Oregon has been a most rewarding experience.  Their commitment to the industry and Michigan thoroughbred racing is exceptional. I am looking forward to a grand relationship in the coming months and years.

But runners on a half mile track?  Its bad enough to have buggies on the short track, but runners?  I remember half the field would end up in the parking lot at Hazel and that was a 5/8's.

Northville is a depressing place to race.   I made my first horse racing bet at Sports creek.

If it was sold that way wouldn't have been posted on the local news last  update was being talked about the township squashed it for it to be a venue manufacturer marijuana a big jumbo marijuana Farm .and resale shop in hopes of this being a good thing for Michigan since northville on limited time at current space and hazel now closed screwing over horseman just before season begins

Closing down a decent harness track to race broken down Tbreds

that should have been retired years ago?

The Flint water should really help the fan base. 

This track will do as well as Hazel Park after they switched from harness to tbred

Obviously dealing with smart won it's  in swarts Creek .so no Flint water you hater if they open I'll  be much better alternative than drive to northville .to play  and won't have to smell stale beer and pee .they gotta do minimal upgrade s there at Creek to get it going.then fix tract in the spring Muskegon lasted 8yrs in the middle of no where .so they might do ok plus when Sportsbook is allowed in Michigan then they'll be booming or at least that's probably are there hope.

The place is a dump,can't even drink the water in Flint.They will totally fail,about 2 dozen people will go for the simulcast races and the live T Breds will handle less than $50,000 a card,a total sewer and a joke of an idea to even try

I hope this talk is more than talk because it would greatly ease my current problems of betting it's drive to Detroit to play 4races or put in bet account then if hit a good one must wait min4 days or longer to cash out plus 8mins from the Creek  play  it hit  it cash out  get out .much nicer scenario .
