Monticello Race 4 Thursday
« on: April 02, 2026, 07:53:05 AM »
Collectively the field for 2026 is

68 - 0 - 0 - 2 this year

Taking out 5% for trainer and driver

Leaves the owner average at $76.54 per start

Hopefully the horse is not on lasix, needed to be shipped and the owner paddocked his own horse.

And people still believe they don’t make money thru the window

Most drivers and trainers I know had to stop betting because they LOST money at the window. You have quite an imagination!   ngc3

[/quote       You can not believe with the size of the pools  and elite doing all the gambling that horsemen are beating the pools,    Very few horsemen ever beat the pools and 3 dollar shots just dont do it and today that is the game at stiff them at large odds and get the money at 2-5,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Horsemen are morons and drivers drive for a fifth place finish at huge odds.

Purse money is really bonus money. The trainers are getting training bills . And these horses are the exception...most horses are making a fortune.

   Any1Left....exactly correct

the pools are way to small and Elite accounts for over half the handle...there is no way horsemen are "making money through the windows"

those days are long gone--about 25-30 years at least

“Most horses are making a fortune” might be one of the dumbest things ever said on here. And the bar is set really high for stupid here.
