I could be wrong but I thought Larry won the $500k Levy with Special Report.? Also drove himself.. he was a super horse.!!

Highlights of his career linked below, and he DID win the Levy with Special Report.  The Levy final at that time was $390,000 and he won it in 1:51.4, which was SIXTEEN years ago.

P.S. While it is not a guarantee, that race had an 8PM Friday detention barn entry.

just boggles the mind how Runa knocked off the top ffas...i get it overall the crop may not be as strong as many others but thats quite the jump up. Abuckabett was a total no show. Voukefalas had no chance drawing post 10. It seems like Allywag has lost a few steps.  I loved Ruthless Hanovers race here at stunning odds of 29-1. Set those crazy fractions and still held on for 3rd so he is going to be a factor the rest of the year. Its My Show suprisingly is getting better went a big big effort and probably deserved this one. I would like to see Twin B Joe Fresh try the boys once to see how she would fair against this so so group

The horse was 5th against the best a week or 2 ago with a rail trip. This week got a better “rail trip” and just got up!  Looks like the horse made the driver look good (for a change). Runa is a nice horse that has heart and guts. Kudos to Larry!  Many of us would love to own a horse like this!

I've been trying all day to pick a "Price" Horse at The Meadowlands. And I finally hit one. I was thinking that I rarely ever see a horse from Larry Stalbaum's stable run in such a big race. He owns. trains. but ain't driving him today. So with $40 left from my $200 bank roll, I bet $10 WPS on the #5 horse! Thanks Mark Macdonald for giving me my biggest winning day in a long while!

Congratulations!

I believe you don't.  Simply, it's bad etiquette to post about a win after the fact.  That is redboarding.  Had you posted you were going to bet on that horse and then bragged after he won that would actually be OK.

Thanks for explaining that Thorn. I just rarely ever win so I was super excited about it. I would need to hit a race like that 1000 times to actually break even after almost 50 years of chasing horses.
